Inside Cambodia
If you choose to continue on to Sihanoukville there are two methods: by
road or by boat. By road you can take a van or motorcycle you can rent at
the border. Depending on the road conditions (and weather) it can take from
4 to 7 hours. By boat, catch a motodup at the border to Koh Kong city (you
will pass a bridge where there may be a small crossing fee). In Koh Kong
city buy a boat ticket to Sihanoukville either at the Ferry Pier or at a
Guesthouse.
Note: the bullet ferry departs Koh Kong at 8 a.m. every morning. The trip takes about 4 hours. The bullet ferry from Sihanoukville arrives at Koh Kong at 4 p.m., so you will need to rush to the border to enter Thailand if you do not want to spend the night in Koh Kong. |
