What our guests say about us

Although I originally wanted to surf his couch in Bangkok I ended up following his invitation in the resort, in the very south of Thailand. It is a great place, if you are looking for peace and taking time off from the world. The fishing village, where the resort is located is 100% authentic and its poor look makes a stunning contrast to the paradise-like resort, kinda of Citizen Cane palace :). As a CSurfer you might not pay for the first night or 2 except 250 Baht for breaky and dinner. Every thing is overly friendly, relaxing and well-kept, from the dogs to the scenery, the place itself and not to forget about the wonderful Chin, the owner and the very laidback Wheelem. I am glad to have discovered another unforgetable spot in the world far from touristy Thailand and close enough to cross over to Cambodia!

Wilhlem invited me to the resort in Baan Mairood and I had a great time! The other travellers were good company and the food was delicious (thanks Chin). It is a wonderful place to relax and hang out without tourists. I wish I had more time to get to know Wilhelm better but hopefully I will see you again! :)

Staying with Wilhem was very relaxing. He is a mellow gentle giant, and i think he really loves to look after people and make them feel welcome, the resort is very beautiful and the food is well worth the cost of staying there. Thanks for everything we hope to see you again xx

After I contacted Wilhem about his couch in Bangkok, he recommended me to visit Mairood Resort in Trat province (www.mairood-resort.com) where he works sometimes and I followed his advice. I had a superb time there, without a doubt the best New Year's Eve and Day I ever spent, and I will almost definitely go back there. Wilhem was very kind. I would have liked to talk more with him and hope we will have the chance another time.

Wilhem is an ideal person to share space with - unimposing but always ready with quality conversation. I owe him great thanks for his help and companionship when i stayed at baan mairood for 3 days. I love the area and the idea of building a more regular community there - it is a space with so much potential. Chin and Wilhem have the tone just right. love and peace to you both, xxx

William was very kind to refer me to his friend Chin who hosted me at a sleepy fishing village in Trat. I had such a relaxing experience I'm already planning my next trip.

I agree with Laetitia! Wheelm is definitely the best host one could ever wish for! And actually he is more than a host, and the experience is more than positive! He's cool, fun, and laid back...... At the beginning I requested for his couch in Bangkok, but in the end I surfed a bungalow in a beautiful fishing village! And Wheelm's friend, Chin, sort of my "co-host", is a fun loving guy! They both have so many fun stories to share! lol I really had a great time with them.

Merci pour tout, Wheelm!

Dear Chin,

I meant to write when we got home but it's been a whirlwind of activity. Thank you so much for our fantastic holiday, you all really looked after us. William keeps asking when we're coming back!!! I have recommended you to several friends so i'm sure you'll hear from them at some point, hopefully we'll be back to check on Willy and Tang sometime within the next year.

Regards,

Susie

Hallo Chin.

We are two of the people that lived at Mairood Resort. In february. We would like to say thank you very very much for the wonderfull time in your place. Also we would like to thank you for your kindness. We thank you alot for taking us to Trat, so we could get to the small isle Koh Makk, the one that you had recomended. We saw group of thousands of big-sized of colorful fishes when we was swimming, it was really amazing. The food / fruit at the place was also really good, so thanks for that.

Thanks for the stay and for the whole time. Anders and Vivian.

PS: We are writing from my sons mail adress. That is having a birthday party today, 16 years.

PPS: Say hallo to the manager / cook at the place and also tell him we say thank for the stay.

Dear Mr. Chin,
April, 2007

I want to tell you how much I enjoyed my 10-day stay last month at your Mairood Resort which was so relaxing for me. My bungalow had all the mod coms and I used the A/C, fridge, and hot shower. The swimming pool was right out my door for an early dip and a late afternoon swim. Getting to know the pet animals by name was a delight.

It was fun driving with the the other guests to the deserted public beaches on either side of your resort. Also, it was delightful to drive with the guests to the Cambodian border town to shop and buy some Cambodian French bread for our meals. The drive down was beautiful along the narrowest and unspoiled part of Thailand between the mountains and the sea.
br> Your open-air dining room served delicious meals filling our requests from the open menu. The fishing village provided an open view into their lives, and evenings I enjoyed having a drink with other guests at a shop overlooking the fishing boats going out to sea to fish.

Thank you for a relaxing, enjoyable vacation.

Dear K.Chin

Firstly, we need to say thank you for your taking care of us there - We've usually made the Songkran trip every year and this is very special thing that we've ever met.

Due to yesterday we've no time to discuss such much about our (may-be) compatible business. So by the way, presently I do my little own business as a freelance photographer. Even types of nature, wedding, family, advertisement, resort etc. continously with graphic design (such as photo album, brochure etc.) if customer needs.

Because of your familiarity on business of resort management which makes you know many people around. I think sometime I may fulfill your or your friend's expectation about these kind of jobs.

Anyway, you can get into the following link www.khramera.spaces.live.com to see my portfolio (Other types of photo (portraits, weddings with graphich designs are still being updated). And if you get some more times - would you please forward this link to others who may concern to let them know just there is a person like me in the world and how they can contact me, not more than that.

Just a self-recommendation.

Best thanks in advanced, Kind regards
KHRAM
